Two years ago I met Harvey Lentchner at the ARA show and he told me about David Lavaneri's website, Engraving Etc. This site is an online resource for the awards and engraving industry. It offers discussion forums on all types of topics related to the industry including tools and equipment, industry news, software, glass etching and sandblasting, dye sub and imaging, FAQ's, and engraving tips and tricks.
I think the site is a great resource, if you are interested it is located at http://www.engravingetc.org/ If you are interested in joining, the subscription fee is 1 year for $36 or 2 years for $60. In my opinion, it's well worth the money to share in the engraving expertise available on this site. Everyone there is extremely helpful, and very knowledgable in the trade.
The Engraving Etc. crew will be hosting several events in Las Vegas during the ARA show this year as well. They are planning a show and tell night, a dinner party and a couple of informal get-togethers.
